A graduate of the Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine with a Doctor of Medicine degree, Gabriella P. Casinelli will be joining the UHC Neurology practice.
She is a magna cum laude graduate of Bethany College, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biology.
Her work experience is varied. She has been an adjunct professor of biology at Bethany and a research technician at the University of Pittsburgh Division of Endocrinology, among other positions.
Her experience has also been international. Dr. Casinelli was the co-leader of Herd for Honduras, a group of medical students, clinicians, and pharmacy students who spent a week in La Esperanza, Honduras, providing care to underserved people. She also spent time in Guatemala, again providing basic care and even spending a day working alongside farmers in the coffee fields. A similar involvement occurred with the Marshall Medical Outreach, where she helped with healthcare for the homeless and underserved in the Huntington area.
In her off-work hours, she enjoys outdoor activities, including whitewater rafting, traveling, especially to national parks, reading, photography, mission trips and volunteering, and spending time with her husband, friends, and especially Petey and Kronk, her dogs.
