Logan Cheshire, DO, joins the staff at Medpointe, coming from his residency at United Hospital Center’s Family Medicine Residency Program, where he was chief resident, working in a variety of rotations that included outpatient and inpatient medicine.
Dr. Cheshire, graduated from Frostburg State University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Sciences (with honors) before going on to receive his degree of osteopathic medicine from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine.
Prior to his work at UHC, he was at Western Maryland Regional Medical Center, where
he assisted medical professionals in the Emergency Department. While at Frostburg State University, he served as a tutor in subjects including general biology, zoology, genetics, general chemistry, and among others.
He is certified in many areas, including advanced cardiac life support, pediatric advanced life support, point of care ultrasound, and osteopathic manipulative training.
In addition to being involved in medical research, Dr. Cheshire has found time to volunteer his services to the community. He prepared Thanksgiving boxes through the Union Rescue Mission of Western Maryland; assisted in registration and administration of COVID-19 vaccines in Harrison County; performed sports physicals for Salem International University; and provided sideline coverage for Glenville State College athletics.
He is also involved in volunteer activities with his church, Barton Presbyterian Church.
