Sarah Reed, DO, joins Pinewood Medical Center in Grafton, completing a residency at United Hospital Center’s Family Medicine program.

Dr. Reed began her journey to an osteopathic medicine degree at Frostburg State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and a minor in chemistry, graduating with honors. She went on to earn her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine. 

Prior to joining the family medicine program, Dr. Reed worked in the Emergency Department at Western Maryland Regional Medical Center and at Gonzaga Health Center. Her experience working at these facilities included pain management, family care, pediatrics, and occupational and physical therapy.

She has attended professional lectures to broaden her medical knowledge.

Dr. Reed also has volunteered for the Harrison County COVID-19 vaccination clinics, sports physicals for Salem University and Harrison County public schools for elementary through college-level athletes, and the Clingman Center, where she hosted classes in the community garden to teach area residents how to grow food, with the produce harvested going to a pay-what-you-can farmer’s market.

In addition to her medical interests, she has coached competitive swim teams at various age levels and provided individual swimming lessons.
