West Virginia native Jennifer S. Turner, MD, brings a wealth of experience as she becomes a member of WVU Medicine United Hospital Center’s Medical Staff.
Dr. Turner graduated summa cum laude from WVU’s School of Medicine with a degree in exercise physiology. She went on to earn her MD degree from WVU, did her residency there in internal medicine, where she was chief resident. Dr. Turner was also a fellow in endocrinology at WVU.
She is Board certified in both internal medicine and endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism.
In addition to research, she has published a number of articles in professional journals, contributed presentations at various conferences. Dr. Turner has had a varied teaching career, most recently as an assistant professor of endocrinology at WVU School of Medicine, where she was also the assistant program director of the endocrinology and metabolism fellowship.
She has been active in the WVU Endocrinology Fellowship in other capacities and also involved with the WVU Inpatient Diabetes Committee.
Memberships include the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, the Endocrine Society, West Virginia State Medication Association, and the American Medical Association.
