UHC Nurse Recognized with Nightingale Award

The Future of Nursing West Virginia (FONWV) Action Coalition is pleased to announce the inaugural 40 over 40 Nightingale Awards, recognizing 40 nurses who dedicated more than 40 years of exemplary nursing service in practice, education, leadership, and mentoring.

One such awardee is Deborah Kay Nutter, ADN, RN, from Clarksburg, WV, a Staff Nurse in Pediatrics at United Hospital Center. She received the American Lung Association’s Breath of Life Award for her dedication to children with asthma and has served as the full time camp nurse for the asthmatic camp for children, Camp Catch Your Breath, since its inception. Parents of her patients recruited her for that position.
